Magnesium do Brasil was founded by Germano Paulo Franck, originally from Germany, in 1905. After conducting some studies in the Amazon region, he built some railroads and encountered mineral riches in the soil.
Magnesium’s activity of exploration of magnesite deposits and its processing has been in existence for more than 70 years. Magnesium’s deposits are located in the Northeast region of Brazil, in the state of Ceara. All the raw material used in the production process comes from deposits owned by the company.
In 2013, after years of business relationship, Magnesium do Brasil became a Roullier Group company. The partnership was signed in an equal partnership between Mr. Hermano Franck and the Roullier Group, establishing a strong alliance. Both companies have found strength in merging their skills to help take the business to the next level of competitiveness and efficiency.
Magnesium specializes in magnesite, producing caustic calcined, sintered caustic and basic refractory products, acting strongly in the national and international market of Industrial Applications, Animal Nutrition and Fertilizer, with a large volume of sales in South America, Germany, the United States and Canada.
Today, Magnesium has a staff of approximately 200 employees and a turnover of 90 thousand tons per year.
The Magnesium do Brasil plant is located in the municipality of Jucas, 400 km from Fortaleza, in the southern state of Ceara.
The headquarters of Magnesium do Brasil, located in Fortaleza, has a distribution center of 3,000 square meters for the export operation, allowing a strategic logistics due to its proximity to the two ports of the State of Ceara, Fortaleza port and Pecem port.
